Warren Buffett Has Plenty Of Company Among Powerful In Battling Prostate Cancer

Berkshire Hathaway Chief Executive Warren Buffett just announced he has stage 1 prostate cancer, and luckily, as he said in a news release, it’s “not remotely life-threatening.”

Indeed, plenty of billionaires and high profile executives and entertainers have survived prostate cancer, so the chances are good that the world’s third-richest man will survive and keep plugging away at Berkshire Hathaway. The 5 year survival rate for prostate cancer is nearly 100%, according to the American Cancer Society. The ten-year survival rate is 98%. Those are some pretty impressive numbers.
